Creating all my life and instilled with a vivid imagination, Design is a way of life for me. Teaching High School Art and entering Art Competitions became the gateway to realizing my dreams. Achieving success in the Art World added fuel to the fire and my creative self began to explore more areas of design.
My favorite mediums are Mixed Water Media, Graphite, Jewelry and Paper Mache' in the style of the Italian Masters.
Now, I have a small gallery in Linden, Texas (open by appointment only). I travel to exhibit and sell my designs as well as an online shop and my Etsy shop.
My other dream, Bengal Cats, also became a reality. and often influences my work. I breed, and show this exciting and exotic breed of cat... often combining my art sales with my love of showing cats at TICA shows. I have even designed numerous catalogues and logos for cat clubs including one of the Annual International Shows.
Since retirement from teaching, I continue to show my dream cats and vend products at cat shows and craft fairs. I have developed a line of cat products including The Original Cat Rat and Whisk Ears. My art has taken a new turn - working in clay , gold and silver leaf, fabrics and kumihimo weaving... always continuing to try experimental mediums with traditional methods.
So, it goes to show , one can combine their dreams into a life of Creativity!
